This position will work Monday through Friday during daytime hours.

WRC is a secure treatment facility that specializes in treating individuals with severe mental health conditions from the Wisconsin Department of Corrections.

Position Summary As the OPA you will provide complex administrative support and clerical assistance critical to the operation of the PSU.
Responsibilities include:
Accessing resident protected health information (PHI) included in both WRC's Electronic Health Record (EHR) and the Department of Correction's Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
Creating databases for the Psychology Clinical Coordinator, Clinical Director, and psychology staff to organize, store, and share information pertaining to confidential records.
Creating scheduling documents, such as the Psychology-On-Call (POC) schedule through gathering data from multiple sources and a department of approximately 25 members, collating and organizing that data, and following multi-step work sequences to finalize the scheduling document.
Ordering supplies using the STAR Financial program and the Winnebago Mental Health Institute (WMHI) store ordering process, tracking receipt of supplies, working with suppliers to reconcile errors in orders, and maintaining accurate purchase records for submission to the business office.
Salary Information The starting pay is $21.
23 per hour, plus excellent benefits.
A 12-month probationary period is required.
Pay for current or former state employees is set based upon the rules that apply to compensation for the applicable transaction.
This position is in pay schedule and range 02/11.
Job Details All appointees will be required to receive a TB test, which will be administered by the facility or medical personnel directed by the facility within 30 days of hire.
All applicants will be required to allow the DHS to conduct a background check to determine whether the circumstances of any convictions may be related to the job being filled.
DHS does not sponsor work visas for this position, thus, in compliance with federal law, selected candidates will be required to verify eligibility to work in the United States by completing the required I-9 form upon hire.
Qualifications Minimally qualified applicants will have all of the following:
Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
) for office support tasks (e.
g.
, email correspondence, data entry, document creation, etc.
).
Experience providing customer service in a professional or business setting (e.
g.
, providing instructions, answering questions, resolving customer complaints, etc.
).
Experience performing office management or administrative duties (e.
g.
, scheduling meetings, reviewing/filing documents, monitoring office supply inventory, etc.
).
Experience performing medical file or health record management duties using an electronic health record system.
Well-qualified applicants will also have one or more of the following:
Experience handling confidential or sensitive information such as personal identifiable information (PII) or health records information.
Experience working in a secure environment such as a prison or correctional facility.
Experience with legal or psychiatric terminology.
